GEOMETRIC BABA NYONYA BATIK PATTERN

The visceral board in Project 2 highlights the integration of Baba Nyonya batik patterns, capturing the intricate beauty and cultural depth of these motifs. Inspired by this feature, the final project incorporates these patterns into the design of the looping pathway, where the curves and geometry of the batik serve as both aesthetic and functional elements. This pathway not only reflects the continuous evolution and enduring essence of culture but also pays homage to the rich heritage of the Baba Nyonya community. The batik-inspired design imbues the architecture with a sense of movement and rhythm, creating a spatial experience that intertwines cultural symbolism and the dynamic flow of dance. Through this integration, the pathway becomes a bridge between the past and present, embodying the spirit of preservation and celebration of local identity.
