ARCHITECTURE HISTORY & THEORY

The history of architecture has been shaped by a multitude of customs, places, architectural styles, and eras. Nonetheless, there is still a chance that contemporary construction will destroy antique structures. It takes ongoing observation, documentation, and evaluation to preserve this priceless cultural heritage.

Self-Reflection

The Architecture History and Theory course has been an enlightening journey through the annals of architectural evolution, from ancient wonders to modern marvels. Lectures and research have deepened my understanding of historical buildings, providing a nuanced perspective for approaching assignments.

However, the course wasn't without its challenges. The initial group project exposed issues of time management and communication.  Managing homework from other classes made it difficult for us to concentrate, which resulted duplicated efforts and a rushed project completion. This underscored the importance of effective communication and commitment to deadlines. Our coordinator for the module was invaluable during these difficulties, providing feedback that improved our project handbook and emphasized the need of asking for help.

In addition, we had an individual assignment that required us to condense a lot of material into brief graphics on an A4 piece of paper. Due to this particular necessity, we had to successfully use our expertise, which improved our ability to synthesize information and communicate visually.

In summary, the course has been a journey of self-discovery and academic growth. It's equipped me not only with architectural knowledge but also with valuable lessons in teamwork and project management that will resonate as I move forward.
